McCain undoubtedly suffered horrendous trauma during his incarceration, and he's probably stuffed 85% of it. Sooner or later, we'll see it. But an even bigger question is, who does he answer to? I think the real boss, (you can call him Dr. Strangelove if you want to), is hidden deep in the bowels of the Pentagon.

Let me ask this: Why don't the politicians - at all levels - talk about the control and influence that is played by the Pentagon on our society? Who, in fact, controls the Pentagon? Anybody? Who among our legislators, our judges, any of our leaders can prevent the megalomaniacal Pentagonians from doing anything they want to? They have operatives working all over the globe under the guise of 'contractor'. What agency of government spends as much of our money as the Pentagon? What agency functions as independently as the Pentagon?
To me, this question goes beyond McCain's sanity or Obama's aptitude.
